Holidays in Spain

If you are considering a holiday in Spain, or you have already secured a booking for a holiday rental property, you may like to know more about this beautiful country or in particular, the area you intend to visit. Villas for rent, and houses and rental apartment properties can be found at: holidayrentalcentre.com/spain.

Spain is multi-cultural and you will experience an intriguing insight into both Spain’s historical past and cultural present. Whether you are visiting Spain’s sunny Costa’s for a family beach holiday, or taking a City break to explore, you will never be disappointed. Arranging a car rental is simple and the main roads are as good as anywhere else in Europe and a link to a major car rental company can be found at: Holiday Autos.

Tourists embarking on their first visit to the Spanish mainland are often amazed at what they find. The different sights and aspects of country and family life are very evident for all to see. Traditional family gatherings on beaches and picnic areas are commonplace, and Spain’s own people’s friendliness is as natural as the blue skies they seem to ‘own’. In towns and cities, almost around every corner, there is one of the typically famous local ‘tapas’ bars. When they are out socialising, most Spaniards do not just go for a drink, but more often they enjoy a drink with a snack, tapas! There are numerous churches, cathedrals, monuments and even the ‘spaghetti’ western film set to explore.

The complete length of coastline stretching from the French border near Barcelona, right down past Alicante and Murcia, to Gibralter and round to the border with Portugal, is well known for being named as any one of the many Costa’s that have mushroomed with holiday properties and hotels over the last 4 decades or so. The Costa’s have been more than a firm favourite with northern Europeans and others, for years, by offering numerous villa & apartments rentals, holiday venues and rental accommodation to those seeking relaxation, a cheaper way of living with the warmth of the sun. In contrast, the vast interior landscape holds stunning scenery majestically around mountain ranges, with interesting towns and villages scattered across plains and valleys. There are many major cities and with historical monuments, palaces and churches to explore. A good selection of old, modern and traditional ‘Paradors’ (state run Hotels) can be found throughout Spain and are extremely popular. Many are like converted castles or fortress’s situated in stunning positions sitting high up on elevated ground, over looking ‘their’ town.

The north-west corner of Spain is home to the oldest Parador in Santiago de Campostella. The weather here tends to be cooler and the terrain is much greener in this area compared with that of the Mediterranean side. Although the interior seems hotter, especially for 3 months of the summer, it is often busier with bustling Cities such as Madrid and Toledo. Flights to Spain can be found at: holidayrentalcentre.com/flights and are available to several destinations throughout the province.

Going on south, the famous and spectacular Alhambra Palace near Granada is as popular as ever and easily reached from Seville, Cordoba and Jaen. Skiing in Spain is available in the Sierra Nevada mountains close to Granada, with snow-capped peaks ever tempting. To find a selection of ski rental properties, log on to holidayrentalcentre.com/ski  and secure a booking on-line.

Far reaching valleys of grapes are to be seen bordering the town of Jerez and its neighbouring villages, as the sherry producers continue their trading to keep up with demand. The former capital city of Cadiz nearby, is a main port for trade and also for Cruise ships bringing their passengers, many of whom are eager to explore Spain’s southernmost coastline and beyond.
