Bedroom 1 Double bed with mirror wall and en suite - facing East with sunrise over water.
Bedroom 2 Two single beds, adjacent bathroom (with bath).
Bedroom 3 Queen size bed.
Bedroom 4 Three single beds with en suite and second TV.
Lounge room with TV, CD player and DVD player. Dining room with table seating eight.
Fully equipped kitchen. Courtyard with four burner hooded barbecue. Large sundeck.
Children very welcome. Three cots, two high chairs and a small playroom.

Comfort
Beach towels, bathroom towels, all linen and all bedding including electric blankets supplied.
Clothes washing and drying. Small clothes line for beach towels. Hair dryers. Valuables safe.
Ceiling fans throughout. Log fire, firewood supplied. Large and small electric space heaters.
Manager on call. Late check out time. Furnished outdoor smoking areas. No pets.

Cost (all inclusive)
Low period (10 January 2010 to 16 December 2010 but not including Public Holiday weekends):
$300 per night, $1.800 per week. Unused bedroom discounts. Midweek discount 3 nights(M,T,W) $600. One night stays $450.

Public Holidays: Public holiday weekends have fixed prices - book as many nights as you wish. Easter $2000. Others $1500.

High period (17 December 2010 to 8 January 2011):
$500 per night, $3,000 per week. One night stays are available at $750. A reservation that includes New Year's eve must be for a minimum five nights.

Golf Facilities

Five of Australia's best 30 golf courses can be found within 20 minutes drive from Flinders. The National Golf Club (3 courses all in Australia's best 30) 15 minute drive. Invitation only (can be arranged). The Flinders Golf Club (public welcome) five minute walk. Five Oaks customers get a 20% discount on Flinders Golf Club green fees.

Beaches / Coast

Magnificent views of Bass Strait, Seal Rocks, The Nobbies, Phillip Island and the entrance to Western Port. Easy access to Kennon Cove beach, picnic area and pier 300m. Two minute drive to Flinders ocean surf beach.

Western Port is a safe, deep water harbour used extensively by pleasure craft, fishing boats and commercial shipping. It is also home to a large pod of Bottlenose Dolphins. The Western Port pilot boat is moored at Flinders pier, also used by nearby Flinders Yacht Club, visiting yachts and other craft.

Walk or drive along Golf Links Road through the Golf Course (Bass Park) and pass the West Head Gunnery Range and the Pilot Station. Detour down the cliff road to the ocean beach and the Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary. Mushroom Reef breaks the ferocity of the ocean waves and provides a sandy beach with safe swimming for small children. A variety of birds are attracted by the activity in the many rock pools.

Special Interest

Short walk to Flinders Village shops, hotel, cafés, restaurants etc., tennis courts, Bowling Club and Public Golf Course. Flinders Post Office is privately owned and has extended trading hours including Saturday morning.
Flinders, until 50 years ago just a fishing village, is part of Australian history through the voyages of Matthew Flinders and as the base station for the first undersea cable linking the mainland with Tasmania. The George Bass/Matthew Flinders memorial is just 100m from Five Oaks.

The Mornington Peninsula, and Red Hill/Flinders in particular, is a renowned grape growing area. Many of the wineries have restaurants or tasting rooms attached. Boating, fishing, yachting and golf are other attractions.
