Description of Holiday Chalet

A self catering luxury ski chalet within a hotel complex. The chalet - which can accommodate up to eight people - is part of a 4* gated hotel complex set in stunning mountain scenery. Its appointed with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen diner and sauna to relax in after a days skiing, and a living area with a central log fire to create a cosy atmosphere in keeping with its surroundings. The hotel complex itself has a 24 - hour front desk, bar cafe, heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and traditional Bulgarian restaurant serving authentic dishes accompanied by the finest Bulgarian wines. Relaxation is perhaps the best word to sum up the experience you will encounter. Thanks to a beautiful location and the superb hotel facilities you have a great base for your holiday in the mountains. Included in the rental price (for the 2010 season) is a Nissan Terrano 4x4. The vehicle provides you with the freedom to explore the surrounding areas or access the ski slopes at your convenience.

The three-bedroom chalet can accommodate up to eight people and has everything you need. It is equipped with central heating, kitchen-diner, two bathrooms with shower, sauna, hairdryer, ironing facilities and cable TV. The chalet is part of a three-star gated hotel complex, so you also have the added bonus of access to a full range of hotel facilities.

Hotel services: the hotel complex also offers room service, 24-hour front desk, bar, café, airport shuttle, business centre, babysitting, currency exchange, bicycle rental, car rental, free wireless internet in public areas and free parking.

Skiing Facilities

The pistes are approximately seven miles above the town on the northern slopes of Pirin Mountain and are easily accessible. It takes just 25 minutes to reach the main ski areas of Chalin Valog (1100-1600m) and Shiligarnika (1700-2500m). Before embarking you are able to check out conditions such as temperature and wind on the monitors at the lift station. Then climb aboard the gondola, which transports you 1700m skimming across alpine forest blanketed in thick snow, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Once on the mountain the fun starts, with 23 ski lifts to get you to your chosen slopes.

The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers and will suit both beginners and experts.
The area is especially welcoming to families.

There are great facilities for children, with ski-kindergartens for kids with new drags and a child-friendly ski run. There’s even a Junior Club with three baby drags and a Wonder Carpets baby track.

The chalet overlooks the Pirin Mountains to the South and the Rila Mountains to the North. Both of these ranges are renowned for their beauty and facilities for outdoor activities.

You can choose from Gatwick, Heathrow, London City, Luton, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, Birmingham, Durham, Newcastle, Isle of Man, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, the Scottish Isles, Belfast and Londonderry. Flights take under three hours and typically cost up to £100 return.Our chalet is about 150km from Sofia and the drive takes about 2.5 hours.
