Found in lush farmland, tucked out of sight far up the Nancherrow river valley close to the vibrant town of St Just, is Approached by an unmade lane, nestled in the heart of a small and beautiful, hidden hamlet, called Lower Bostraze. The Nancherrow River river runs through the valley which is situated just on the edge of historic moorlands and the Kenidjack Carn, which if you stand on top of it has fantastic views of the coast and sea. Within a 5 minute short car drive you can reach the small fishing cove with views of rolling cliffs and the famous hill surrounded by sea of Cape Cornwall. The nearest beaches at Gwenver and Sennen Cove are two of the best surfing beaches in the world. It is close to many small hidden secret beaches of white shell sand including Pothcurno. Rose cottage is an authentic Cornish cottage which has changed very little since it was built out of granite with cottage sash windows hundreds of years ago. This charming cottage is ideal for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. In the front there is a south facing pretty suntrap garden with picnic table perfect for al fresco eating or to relax and sunbathe in. The front of Rose cottage is swathed with pretty red Virginia creeper in summer and has many pretty flowers and Cornish palms in the garden. On entering there is a cosy sitting room and stairs. With beamed ceilings, deep window seats, comfortable furnishings in pastel shades and seaside colours. This is a delightful room with a real fire place making it welcoming for winter retreats? Next door there is a large farmhouse kitchen dining room with large Cornish granite inglenook fireplace. The kitchen is furnished with a large old farm dresser, farmhouse table, fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. There is a vintage Rayburn stove/cooker as well as a modern cooker and hob as well. There is a back door that leads to a granite back area with a washing line to dry clothes. Up the cottage stair case are two bedrooms and a well-sized bathroom with bath/shower. The main bedroom is large and has a high ceiling and is furnished with a large comfortable double bed, chairs, dressing table and linen hamper. The second bedroom has two twin beds with delightful spotty bedspreads and gingham curtains. In the sitting room there is a pull out comfortable sofa bed should you wish to accommodate 6. A short drive from the vibrant town of St Just and bustling town of Penzance, the cottage is within easy reach of the numerous attractions of the west Penwith peninsula including lovely beaches, the St Ives Tate gallery and many other wonderful places. | How to get there |
Follow the A30 taking the by-pass past Penzance following sign to Land End. Take the St Just (3rd turning) on the 3rd roundabout to the A36071. Drive ffor 4 miles, through Newbridge and past the Pendeen turn off. After the brow of a hill with a large lake on the left look for a old tin mine chimmney on the left and turn directly right onto the unmade road indicated with a yellow sign with a horses head on saying 'Upper Bostraze'. Follow the left fork for half a mile (with sea views) and then take the right lane down the hill into the magical hamlet of Lower Bostraze. Rose Cottage is the first cottage on your right with parking on the left outside the fornt gate. |

Close to some of the best beaches in the world. The nearest beach is Gwenver (5mins in car) famous for surfing. We are close to Sennen Cove and Porthcurno, great family beaches. We can also tell you where there are many hidden beaches like Porthchapel, Pednefounder, Nachizel, Portherras which are amazing beaches several which are dog friendly in summer. |

We just loved our stay at Rose Cottage. It is so near to so many fantastic surfing and swimming beaches. The cottage is well equipped and designed in a happy ,sunny style. The walks around the cottage down the river valley are superb and our dog had great fun too! We loved visiting the local town St Just with great pubs and restuarants. Would highly recommend this as a holiday desination to anyone! Mike Pakeman from Bath
