Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is a charge of £10 per stay for dogs. Reduced rates are available for stays of 6 nights or more. Self-catering is also available as an option for stays of longer than 4 nights.
Catering Arrangements:
Breakfast - We use local produce where possible. We offer:
1. Full English Breakfast: selection of cerials, orange juice, brown or white toast served with Riverford Organic bacon and sausages, organic eggs (any style) plus choice of baked beans or grilled tomatoes.
2. Continental breakfast: selection of cerials, croissant or pain au chocolat, fresh bread or toast, jam, butter, fresh fruit.
3. Vegetarian cooked breakfast can also be provided with some advance notice.
Bedroom: Comfortable double-bed with brand new mattress. Table with Ercol quaker chairs, Art Deco desk. HD television, Blue Ray DVD player & selection of movies, Sony DAB radio with Ipod/iphone doc, handmade 30s furniture. Logs for the fire are supplied.
Kitchenette: Kettle, cafetiere, teapot, toaster, wine glasses, cork-screw and small fridge for exclusive use of guests. Fresh ground coffee, selection of teas and fresh milk is provided (soya or goats milk on request)
Bathroom: Modern wall hung bathroom suite and bath with therrmostatically controlled shower.
Entrance Hall: Space to hang coats and take off shoes if preferred.
Garden: Table with chairs at the front of the house
Swimming Pool: Free use of our swimming pool is included (May to the end of September)

The South Devon Railway is one of Devon’s and the West Country’s best loved tourist attractions and is the longest established steam railway in South West of England. It is 7 miles long and a former Great Western Railway branch line which was built in 1872. The line runs from Buckfastleigh, to Totnes, and trains travel through Staverton amid stunning valley scenery of the pretty River Dart.

The Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary is situated just outside Buckfastleigh between Exeter and Plymouth, just off the A38 Devon Expressway at the Dart Bridge junction. There are large brown tourist signs guiding visitors from the junction to the car park. The journey from Totnes will take around 20 minutes, but from Exeter or Plymouth its about half an hour.
The train from Totnes to Buckfastleigh stops near the Butterfly Farm, and can be reached with just a 2 minute walk from the station.

The holiday / Guesthouse B&B accommodation is situated close to Dartington Hall and the bustling market town of Totnes. Guests will find lots of fabulous beaches within a 30 minute drive or to enjoy an envigorating walk across beautiful Dartmoor, is just a 20 minute journey.

Just 4 miles from the A38 for fast access to the M5 or 1 1/2 miles from Totnes mainline train station which goes direct to London or even Scotland.
