Bedroom Facilities: Guests receive a warm welcome,in winter with a cup of tea by the log fire, and may choose double (Kingsize bed), twin or single rooms with en-suite or private facilities. ! There is a single bed in one of the double rooms.

Bathroom Facilities: The double rooms have ensuite facilities, one with a walk in shower, the other with a shower over the bath. The single room has a downstairs shower room with basin and WC

Reception Rooms: Guests may use the conservatory and garden or sit by the fire in the reception hall on arrival and for short periods. These areas may also be used by the host family.

Kitchen: Tea/coffee making, flat screen TV and radio in each room ( not as in photo)

Entertainment Facilities: Flat screen TV and Radio and free WIFI in each room.

Outdoor: Parking is in the lane immediatly outside the cottage.

Beaulieu Abbey and motor museum. Exbury gardens, Hurst and Calshot castles, Moors Valley and Paultons Adventure Parks are all within half an hours drive. The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester and Bournemouth, Southampton and Portsmouth are less than an hour away.
All offer good shopping, museums, art galleries, theatre, cinema and music.

The New Forest National Park is extremely popular for walking, riding, golf, sailing, fishing, bird watching, deer watching and the contrasting atmospheres of wooded forest, heathland, Solent waters, open seas and sandy beaches. Cycle hire and delivery can be arranged.
Lymington, with its Georgian buildings, harbour, Saturday market, marinas and access to the Solent Way coastal path is 3 miles away. The Isle of Wight ferry leaves hourly.

The pretty village of Sway is centrally situated in the New Forest and ideally accessible to both Lymington and Brockenhurst, 2 very popular towns with hotels, pubs, restuarants and family amentities.

From Lyndhurst take the A 337 to. On reaching Brockenhurst take the B 3055 opposite Careys Manor Hotel and Le Blaireau Restaurant, stay on the B 3055 and go under two railway bridges and take the 2nd turning on the left at Sway Memorial, signposted Pennington. Chapel Lane will be found in approximately 1/4 mile on the right hand side just after the post box. Heather Cottage is 4 cottages down on the left hand side.
Have a safe journey and please watch out for ponies who may be walking in the road. There is a 40 mile an hour speed limit on the B 3055 and ponies do have the right of way.

Beaches are located all along the coast from Poole Harbour to the Solent, Bournemouth, Boscombe, Mudeford, Barton on Sea, Milford are all accessible beaches for sun worshippers or dog walkers. Some beaches maybe shingle but most are sandy beaches ideal for small children. . Nature Reserves line the Solent coastal path. Boat trips and fishing go from Lymington

There are four golf courses within 15 minutes drive at, Brockenhurst, Milford-on -Sea, Burley and Walhampton. Popular Ferndown Golf Club and course is approximately 40 mintutes drive.
