Description of Holiday Chalet

Chalet Teresa is a brand new chalet - opened Dec 2005 - with 5 en suite bedrooms. It can sleep a maximum of 14 people. In summer clients can enjoy the heated swmming pool in the chalet's garden.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwsher, cooker and oven and a breakfast bar. The dining table seats 12 and the large living area has a log fire, satellite TV, DVD and Video player and a Hi-Fi system.

All five bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and twin beds with two having an additional double to accommodate up to 14 guests. There is an integral garage and additional surface parking.

Price includes all bed linen, towels, logs for the fire, local taxes and fresh baguettes delivered every morning in time for breakfast.

The chalet is close to the centre of this conservation village and very near shops, superb restaurants and lively pubs.

The main lift is about 3 minutes away by car or the free ski bus.

For summer visitors there is a heated swimming pool in the garden.

Skiing Facilities

The chalet is within reach of some of the most extensive skiing in the Alps. The ski bus takes you to the new high speed lift where you are only eight minutes away from the Grand Massif which boasts 260 kilometres of pistes and, as most of the slopes are north or north-west facing, they keep their snow.

Les Gets is only 15 minutes by car away from Samoëns. But, Samoens has its own great local skiing and is fully linked into the Grand Massif resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz and Morillon.

As yet undiscovered by many Brits Samoens is a magical French village with some of the world's best skiing on its doorstep.

Samoens is wonderful in summer - a village with its own French character.

It is particularly good at looking after young children. Children under 6 can visit the House of the Little Mountain Folk which is a convivial place for parents and kids to play together. Entry is free.

There is also a new nursery (telephone nmber 0033 450 34 13 96) which is open every day except Sundays and public holidays. The staff speak English. Pre-booking is recommended.

Samoens offers everything from walking to mountain climbing. There are 450 kilometres of marked trails of all levels of difficulty. And you can trek on the glaciers of Mont Blanc if you're up to it! Mountain-biking, canyoning, caving, canoeing and white water rafting are also offered. In addition, there is tennis, horse-riding, outdoor swimming pools, archery and jetskiing.

The village has a host of good restaurants and bars where the local wine and food may be enjoyed as you relax at the end of a busy day in the sun.
