This spacious, and comfotable duplex apartment is situated on the top floor of the Criou 2 building and sleeps up to 8 persons in 3 bedrooms. It has stunning veiws over the Criou mountain and is furnished in alpine style with all modern conveniences. It is superbly situated in the very snowsure area of The Grand Massif with 265 kms of skiing with something for everyone. This is a true gem of a place, small resort, massif skiing!! This gives quiet pistes and few queues! Easily accessible from Geneva airport only 1hr15 mins away and only 8hrs from Calais! First floor there is a small entrace hall, separate WC, 3rd bedroom with a double sofa bed with cupboards over. Galley kitchen with fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker. Dining area with 8 chairs and large table. The sitting area has two sofa beds, giving even more flexibility , a coffee table and TV, leading onto large double aspect balcony with further table and chairs. Upstairs there is a newly fitted bathroom with bath, overhead shower, washhand basin and WC. Main bedroom has king sized bed ,wardrobe and chest of drawers. Further family bedroom with twin beds and bunk beds, storage drawers and shelves. Extra hanging on landing. There is a covered lockable garage and ski locker with this apartment. This is essential so that you do not have to dig your car out of the snow !! Linen and towels are included. After stay cleaning is included but clients are asked respectfully to leave the apartment clean and tidy as they find it, and strip all beds and remove rubbish please. It is a non smoking apartment but smoking on the balcony is permitted..It is on the top floor with best veiws but no lift !! Shops , supermarket and ski shops are very close and a easy walk. Booking Procedure

Please contact the owners by sending an Enquiry with your Arrival and Departure dates to see availability and prices. Changeover day is Saturday in the winter. A hire car is advised , especially in the summer, but transfers can be arranged through the owners. During the summer there is flexibility on arrival and leaving. £200 is required to reserve the booking. Payment is due 10 weeks before departure or immediately if less. Cheques will be accepted on request. There is an arrangement for 'greet and meet' and key collection in the resort. Arrangements will be made for key collection on arrival. Change over days are Saturdays. You are unable to enter the apartment before 4pm on the day of arrival and you must vacate by 10am on the day of departure.

Bedroom Facilities: 3 bedrooms,one with a king sized bed ,wardrobe + chest of drawers; family bedroom with two single beds and full set of bunk beds, large storage shelves and underbed storage . Third bedroom with a double sofa bed , cupboard and storage over. There are also two extra sofa beds in the living area.
Bathroom Facilities: Newly fitted bathroom with bath and overhead shower,washbasin and WC.Heated towel rail and plenty of storage .There is also an extra separate WC.downstairs.
Reception Rooms: Galley kitchen with dining table for 8 persons and living area with two sofa beds and a coffee table.
Outdoor: There is a large balcony with table and chairs for outdoor entertaining.
Suitability: Pets are allowed in the summer months only with prior arrangement.
Pool: There is a private swimming pool shared by the apartments and in the valley there are lakes, river and large swimming pool all suitable for bathing.there are also areas for sunbathing and playing.
The apartment is on the top floor of the building and there is no lift.It is therefore not suitable for those who cannot climb stairs.There are 3 flights to the exit to ski and 5 flights to the exit for the garage.

There is a host of outdoor activities available during the summer months all within the valley.Walking and mountain biking starts outside the apartment.Lifts are open daily in July and August to give access to the mountain and at weekends the rest of the summer.All activities except walking are extra and hiring of equipment , guides and tuition is available.Please contact us for more details so we can arrange a bespoke package for your needs. There are also some wonderful golf course within an hour .A car is adviseable but not essential.However transport to activities would be extra.
The Giffre Valley and the surrounding mountains lie in a natural reservation area so it is beautifully natural and unspoilt. The mountains, river and lakes provide a host of activities in the summer. Mountain biking, cycling, walking, riding, golf, climbing, canyoning, canoeing, rafting, parapenting, via ferrata. With both lakes, river and mountains all in one place it is a superb area for mixed activity holidays where all the specialised tuition is on hand for children and adults. Please ask for more details.
Restaurants, supermarkets, cash points and shops are situated both at Morillon Les Esserts and in Morillon. Samoens, which is close by, also has a further variety of shops and there are weekly markets in both villages. In the summer there are many activities around the lake including festivals and concerts. There is a buzz of activity in the valley.
The TOUR de FRANCE actually passes near the village , not to be missed by cycling enthusiasts!!

Cleaning Services / Towels and Linen

Towels and linen are included by arrangement . We ask respectfully if you can please leave the apartment clean and tidy with all rubbish removed and beds stripped.If the apartment is not left satisfactorily a cleaning charge of 50 euros is made. If you wish to choose to have the apartment cleaned please notify us at the begining of the week.

Morillon is situated high above the picturesque Savoyard village of Morillon.Nestled in the beautiful Giffre valley under the magnificant Grand Massif mountain range.the villages are linked to the excellent ski areas of Samoens,Les Carroz,Sixt and Flaine.This is a superb snowsure region getting some of the best snow in the Alps.

In summer the whole valley and mountains are transfomed into lush green scenery and beautiful mountain flora, lakes and rivers.It comes alive with activities for all.Alpine action includes rafting, canyoning, canoeing, walking,all grades and beautiful maked trails.Mountain biking,parapenting, via ferrata, riding, adventure playground.Hiring of equipment could not be easier and there is someone on hand to guide and teach everything ! If you just want to relax and enjoy this wonderful scenery it does not get much better ! Further a field within a hour , there are beautiful chanpionship golf courses to be played and some glorious towns to visit.

How to get there

he location is excellent being one of the nearest ski resorts to Geneva airport only just over an hour away.With Easy Jet flights makes it very accessible.It is also easily accessible by train at Cluses only 20mins away, and road being an easy 8hrs drive from Calais.
Other airports within reach are Chambery 2hrs and Lyon 3hrs.

Beaches

In the summer there is easy access to the valley below with lakes and rivers. Special areas for swimmers and sunbathers and a large outdoor pool for children.There is also use of a swimming pool close by the apartment. There are many water based activities available for all ages, rafting, canyoning, canoeing,mt biking, cycling, walking, horse riding, golf. Please ask for more details as packages can be arranged for all the family.

Golf

Golf at altitude! The Haute Savoie is fast becoming a great destination for golfers of all abilities, with easy access by road and low cost flights. Some of the finest courses in Europe, you are also treated to some stunning alpine scenery, cheaper green fees, uncrowded fairways and beautifully maintained greens. Some courses don't require a handicap making it open to all.
The Haute Savoie Golf Pass for 5 green fees is 150€ with many courses to choose from you are spoilt for choice. Divonne-les- Bains Golf Club. 1 1/4hrs. One of Europe's finest Championship courses.Evian Masters Golf Club. 1hr. Another stunning championship course on the shores of Lac Leman. Chamonix Golf Club. 3/4hr. Championship course with stunning mountain veiws of Mont Blanc. Megeve-Mont D'Arbois Golf Club. 1/2hr. This is the oldest mountain course in France, situated in the chic mountain resort of Megeve.
Annecy Golf Clubs. 1hr.There are two fantastic courses on the shores of Lake Annecy.

Skiing

Morillon Les Esserts is situated on a high plateau above the traditional Savoyard village of Morillon. It is part of the Grand Massif ski area with 265 kms of skiing. This links the resorts of Morillon, Samoens, Flaine, Le Carroz and Sixt. From the apartment you can ski in /ski out straight onto the piste with high speed chair lifts only metres away to whisk you off. The ski area is perfectly linked with 4, 6,and even 8 seater chair lifts and high speed gondolas. With something for everyone, skiers, boarders and children are well catered for. There is extensive off piste for the experts, three state-of-the-art terrain parks for boarders,and the breathtaking 14km Cascade blue run, from Flaine down to Sixt. 90km of prepared cross-country trails and snow shoe walks . 128 snow cannons to ensure good conditions from December to April.
The mountain is dotted with truly authentic restaurants and great 'Vin Chaud' stops. Quiet pistes and virtually no queues this area is a true gem !

Horse Riding

In the Giffre valley riding is a wonderful way to see the mountains.There are stables where you can go on treks and hacks.Please ask for further details and prices.
