Romantic Montmartre holiday apartment to rent in Paris. This 55-square-meter apartment has been revamped in May 2006 with the help of our good friend - Parisian artist, Bruno Pascal. The apartment sleeps 2-5 people. Although small spaces are the rule in large European capitals, this interior has unusual features for an apartment of this type, including natural light and ventilation. It can be rented together with the Luxury unit and the Feng-Shui unit in the same building at special combo-rates. The eye-catcher is an original work of art called "Laudanum" by Lisa Holden in the Pre-Raphaelite style. The term itself originated in relation to the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, an influential group of mid 19th-century avante garde painters associated with Ruskin who had great effect upon British, American, and European art. The artwork depicts a woman under influence of Laudanum - an opium-related drug used in the mid and late 19th century and popular then amongst Montmartre artists and prostitutes. The artwork suggests a strong feeling of peace and romance that we found typical for the over-all atmosphere in this apartment. Lisa Holden is a British artist based in Amsterdam. She has exhibited in London, the United States and throughout Europe. The address is Rue de Rochechouart, a very nice area just out of the tourist zone. To the North the street is cornered by the Avenue Trudaine - a beautiful avenue with flowers and trees all around and considered to be amongst the nicest and certainly calmest in the whole of Paris. Booking Procedure

To confirm the booking we need a 250 Euro deposit. As long as I have not received deposit payment - there is no booking (to prevent double bookings). You can choose between 2 payment methods: I prefer a Paypal for the deposit (costs are 3,5 %) You can also pay by bank transfer. We also ask 50 euro to cover for cleaning & linen costs, which is to be paid on your arrival at the Loft.

Location

The Loft apartment is situated in Rue de Rochechouart in the 9th Arrondissement. This is a safe area just out of the tourist zone.To the North the street is cornered by the Avenue Trudaine - a really beautiful avenue with lots of flowers and trees. This avenue is considered to be amongst the nicest and certainly calmest in the whole of Paris. There are many schools and the Square d'Anvers is home of the best children's playground of the Right Bank.
Closest metro stops: Cadet and Anvers (at 5 minutes walking).
The studio-loft measures 650 square foot ( 55 sq. Metres).Take care - being a loft, it has only one main room, so you 'll have no privacy if renting with more than two people.
There are two King size beds ( one KS - sofa bed and a regular KS - one) and a Foeton.
In the apartment you will find orange juice, soft drinks, coffee, cereals, eggs,shampoo etc... Also wine and Champagne. Our policy is that you replace it by things of an equivalent value.
