The Chalet du Saut is in the sleepy traditional alpine hamlet of the Villaret du Nial, nestled on the south facing slopes just above the road to Val d'isere and overlooking the Tignes dam. 4 kms from the funicular and ski pistes in Val d'isere and 3 kms from the lifts & pistes at Tignes les Boisses, this self-catering rental chalet offers the best of both worlds, the convenience of a major ski area, without the hustle and bustle of a holiday resort. The Chalet is a 17th century farmhouse, recently converted to a luxury selfcatering ski chalet. It offers 200m2 of accommodation, & comfortably sleeps 12/14 in 6 bedrooms & mezzanine, 4 bathrooms, a large living area around the open fireplace, and a kitchen and dining area designed to cater for large dinner parties. Available to rent directly from the owners self-catering. Master bedroom, double 160x190, occasional single for child - Second large double room, 160x200, occasional single 90x190 - Two bedrooms with each 2 singles 90x190 - Bunk bedroom 2x90x190 - Smaller double bedroom 140x200 - Mezzanine sleeps 2, unsuitable for children, is open above living room - Bed linen and towels supplied - 3 full bathrooms with WC, one also has separate shower - Shower room with sink and also washing machine - Separate WC. How to get there

Skiing

Tignes and neighbouring ski resort Val D'Isere make up the Espace Killy ski area. Made up of 300kms of piste with 137 different runs to choose from, 9 slalom stadiums, 2 mogul fields, 2 halfpipes, 2 snowparks and 97 mostly high speed lifts to get you round the mountains.
Unlike some super-resorts, the two resorts of Espace Killy are seamlessly joined, so you can cruise from one to the other without fear of getting caught in rush-hour queues. The round journey from Tignes Le Brévières, which sits 800m below the main resort of Tignes, to Le Fornet, an off-piste mecca at the furthest edge of Val d'Isère, would take a day or more in other resorts. Here it can be done in an afternoon, so efficient is the lift system
The area is named after Jean-Claude Killy, the champion skier who swept the
board in the 1968 winter Olympics. After hosting the 1992 Olympic downhill skiing events, Val d’Isere will be the setting for the 2009 Alpine Ski World Championships.
