There is short flight of steps leading from the parking area to the front door and the garden and pool are accessed from the back of the villa at 1st. floor level, so may not be suitable for elderly people who are unable to manage stairs.

Bedroom Facilities: There are 2 single beds which can replace one of the doubles, to make a twin. There is a folding cot for babies. The master suit can be used as a family room for up to 4 people. 3 of the bedrooms are on the first floor and have there own balcony space. The 4 th is on the ground floor.
Bathroom Facilities: The master suit has a full en-suit bathroom with an enormous bath, shower and WC. The other 3 bedrooms have an en-suit shower room and WC. There are a further 2 WC/washrooms, one on each floor. All facilities are provided with solar heated hot water.
Reception Rooms: The villa has a large traditional style main hall, running the full length of the building. At one end there is an elegant polished granite dining table with 8 teak chairs. At the other end the is a comfortable seating area. There is also a high chair for young children.
Kitchen: The Kitchen has polished granite work-tops, and is well equipped with cutlery and utensils. There is a 3 stage UV water filter that provides safe, clean drinking water. The fridge and washing machine are in an adjacent utility area. A house keeper maintains the kitchen, and can do the washing and cleaning.

Pool: The pool is serviced and cleaned on a daily basis by the gardener / pool-man, and the water quality is rigorously monitored. Attached to the main pool there is a paddling pool that is suitable for young children, though it must be stressed that it is a private pool and does not have an attendant. Children using the pool area must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Bird-watchers will find the area a particularly rich and exciting place to visit. The grounds of Anand Villa are boarded by four different habitats, open hill-top, jungle, scrubby cashew covered hillside and rich mango and coconut plantation. Species spotted from the gardens include eagles, kites, hawks, vultures, pea-fowl, egrets, horn-bills, parrots, owls, flycatchers and kingfishers, amongst many more. Migrating storks and spoon-bills visit near-by paddies and estuaries.
Mandrem village market is 10 minutes walk from the villa, where shops and stalls supply a wide range of groceries and provisions. A 15 minute taxi ride will take you to the bustling fishing village of Arambol, which has a wide variety of restaurants, clubs, live music venues and activities. There are trips available locally, to all the attractions of Goa.

Bath towels and bed linen are provided and changed every other day. You should bring your own beach towels. A housekeeper comes daily and cleans the house and changes bed linen etc.

Anand Villa is set in a quiet rural location between the glorious Junas Wado Beach, with it's chilled, relaxed ambiance, charming multi-cuisine restaurants and excellent Yoga schools, and Mandrem Village Market, with local shops supplying all the provisions you might need. This area of north Goa is the most favored by experienced 'Goaphiles' who appreciate the rich wild-life and miles of un-cluttered beaches, which stretch from Morjim, to the south to Teracol in the north. The delightful fishing village, Arambol, is 4 miles north - a favored over-wintering spot for musicians, dancers and artist of all variety - and has a vibrant live music scene, numerous workshops, schools, eating places, and artisan's shops from around India. This is a place that any fan of Glastonbury should visit. 8 miles north lies southern Maharastra, with Paradise Beach and the impressive crumbling Mogal ruins of Redy Fort, rising, Kipling-like from the jungle. Anjuna's famous flee market is 8 miles south.

The relaxed and unspoiled beach of Junas Wado is a gentle and scenic 10 minutes' walk from the Villa. Here you can find several excellent multi-cuisine restaurants, internet cafes, travel agent/ money change and a general store. 15 minutes walk, Asvem Beach, 45 minutes walk, Arambol Beach. South of Asvem, lies Morjim with its' rare Green turtle nesting site.
