Fishing: There are sea fishing charter boats available in Rathmullan for deep sea angling, catching many different types of fish e.g. trout and mackeral. There are many fishing lakes in Donegal. Fly fishing, including fishing rods and tuition is available at the Meadows fishery (9km).

Hillwalking: Get your hiking boots and walking gear on and enjoy the hiking trails and beautiful countryside Donegal has to offer.

Rathmullan has safe sandy beaches, fringed by woodland, sand dunes and rocks with a backdrop of mountains, provide the perfect environment for a variety of holiday activities.

Swimming & Surfing:
2 miles of safe sandy beaches and during the summer months there are lifeguards on duty in Rathmullan seaside village.
There is a large new leisure centre opened in Letterkenny in spring 2007, which has the latest fitness and leisure facilities and includes an Olympic size swimming pool. There are a few surfing clubs in Donegal also.
