The area has an archeological, historical and artistic importance for the presence of two famous Medician Villas (villa “Ambra” at Poggio a Caiano e villa “La Ferdinanda” at Artimino) and of two Etruscan tombs (“Boschetti” e “Montefortini”) at Comeana.
