The Villa is ideal for everybody seeking some privacy and peace. It is suitable for couples on a honeymoon, for parents with children but also for elderly people, as the villa stretches on a ground floon only.

The Villa has a high ceiling which in conjunction with the double glazed and mosquito screened windows helps to keep the air circulated and cool. If this is not enough, one can use one of the fans to cool down the air. In the cooler months of the year, the Villa offers a fireplace which also heats the two bedrooms or use the marble heaters installed in each room to have a comfortable warm place.

Bedroom Facilities: Both bedrooms, one with a double bed, the master room with twin beds, have en suite bathrooms and are charmingly furnished cottage style.

Bathroom Facilities: The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin as well as a beautiful view over the hills.
The second bedroom has an attached bathroom with a bathtub, a bidet, toilet and washingbasin.

Kitchen: The kitchen comprises a fully oak fitted kitchen with a microwave, a big freezer, a big fridge, a combination of gaz and electrical cooker as well as an oven where you can prepare delicious meals, as well as various kitchen appliandes.

Entertainment Facilities: The livng room has two sofas in which you can snuggle in while watching international programms on the Satelite TV or simply listen to some music on the radio or DVD player.

Outdoor: The Pool area also supplies a big built in BBQ on which you can prepare fresh algarvian fish.

Pool: The pool is completely secluded and allows therefore total privacy. The pool is being cleaned once a week.

This place is very suitabel for parents with their children but also elderly people, as the Villa has not stairs, only the one down to the pool or up to the sunroof terrace. The Terrace and pool area offers sunbeds and gardenfurniture.

The property is ideally located for long walks in the hilly surroundings where you can catch beautiful views to the sea. It is also a paradise for bird and insect watchers and on can find some exceptional species in the surroundings. The surrounding of Sta Catarina offers all kinds of possibilities to have an acitve holiday, such as Golf, Tennis, bycicling, mountaqin biking, swimming of course and all kind of water activieties. On a wet day the Forum Algarve Center in Faro offers 9 modern cinemas, shopping in tastefully decorated shops or just ding out in one of the numerous restaurants.

The centre of Santa Catarina is about 2km from the Villa and is a typical rural village of the region. It contains a mixture of tavernas, cafés, minimarkets, a post office and a bank. There is also a small daily fruit and vegetable market. Santa Catarina also hosts a traditional portuguese Sunday market once a mont, where you can find everything from goats, leatherwork and local culinary specialities to T-shirts.
The Villa is approx. 15km from Tavira an ancient and picturesque town in the eastern Algarve. TAvira offers something for all, from leisurely walks through the old center to live bands playing in various locations in the evening. In addition Tavira offers historical churches, a castle and a museumm, a colourful market, excellent shopping facilities and numerous bars and restaurants.

Towels and linen are provided and are being changed once a week. Please bring your own towels for the use of the pool or beach. Weekly cleaning can be supplied if rewuested.

Casa da Tranquilidade is approx. 15km from the ancient and picturesque town on Tavira in the eastern Algarve. TAvira offers something for all. historical churches, a castle and a museum, a cliourful marke, excellent shopping facilities and numerous bars and restaurants.

The nearest airport is Faro, approx. 30km away, the spanish border can be reached in about 30 minutes and Lisbon is 3 hours drive away.

Superb sandy beaches are within easy reach, about 15km away. All have EEC Blue Flag for cleanliness and poolution free water.
You can choose from island beaches like Tavira Island, Armona, Culatra anf Farol Island, from long sandy beaches running along the eastern coast at Barril Beach, Fuzeta, Manta Rota, Praia Lota, Altura, Praia Verde, Monte Gordo and Vila Real. Alle within easy reach of up to 30 minutes drive. Or try the more western rocky coast towards Albufeira.

Within a radius of 40km there are 14 golf courses to choose from. The closest golfcourse to the villa is a 9 hole golf course in Maragota near Moncarapacho, about 7km away.
About 2 miles to the east of Tavira you find the Benamor golf course, lying opposite the new developped residential area of Conceicao which is situated in quiet surroundings neighbouring the fishing village Cabanas.Further towards the eastern coast you find two premium golf courses, Quinta da Ciam and Quinta da Ria. Further spectacular golf courses can also be found by driving towards the western coast in Villamoura and Quinta do Largo.
