Bedroom Facilities: There are 3 delightful bedrooms all made up with fresh white bedlinen. There is a double room, a twin room with single futon bed and a single room. A travel cot and highchair are also available (please bring your own linen for cot).

Bathroom Facilities: The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a 3 piece suite.

Reception Rooms: The cottage has a cosy lounge with wood burning stove . It has 2 sofa's and a TV/DVD player. A selection of games have been left for your entertainment.

Kitchen: The kitchen has a large table to accomodate up to 6 people. It has all the facilities you should need including a microwave, fridge and washing machine. There is ample crockery, cutlery and glassware and plenty of pots and pans. The tumble dryer and freezer are located in an out building.

Outdoor: The elevated garden/patio area provide a relaxed seating area where you can admire the sea view. You may even be lucky enough to catch sight of a dolphin in the bay. You can park you car at the harbour only a minutes walk away.

Pool: There is no pool, but as the cottage is only a short way from the sea wall, a low tide will give access to the beach and marine life in the rockpools.

Gardenstown is undoubtedly one of the prime seafront villages that lace the Moray Coast. A village with ever changing vistas. Low tides will reveal a mix of scenic beach and colourful rock pools, whilst the storms in winter can bring the waves crashing onto the fisherman's cottages along the seafront. The sight of the Northern Lights or dolphins in the bay will ensure you will never forget your visit here!

The village is the perfect place to unwind from the pressures of modern life whilst providing basic services such as shops a Post Office and a pub serving meals where children are welcome. Nowadays the fishermen's cottages which form the quaint Seatown area are used by tourists or city dwellers seeking a weekend retreat. The village has also become a magnet for artists and photographers who enjoy the peace and ever changing vistas.
Nearby you will find the village of Pennan which was used in the film "Local Hero".
The main towns nearby are Banff/Macduff which are situated approximately six miles away.
The nearest cities are the cosmopolitan city of Aberdeen and the Highland Capital of Inverness.
Both have direct air and rail links to London and other major UK and European cities.

The cottage is cleaned on a saturday between lets but a weekly clean is provided for stays in excess of one week. Towels and bedlinen are provided for use in the cottage only.

Gardenstown is a small former fishing village in the North East of Scotland. It's nearest city is Aberdeen (45 miles). will find the There are many beautiful villages along this stretch of coast including Pennan which was used in the film "Local Hero".

Aberdeen airport is approximately 38 miles south with links to the UK and Europe. Also located in Aberdeen are the Ferry Port, Train and Bus stations. A bus from Aberdeen to Banff (6 miles from cottage) runs 6 times a day. To fully appreciate what the area has to offer use of a car is recommended.

The cottage enjoys sea views from the garden and is only 30 metres from the sea wall. A low tide will give access to the beach and marine life in the rockpools whilst a high tide will bring waves crashing over the breakwater to splash the gable ends of the waterfront cottages. Nothing beats strolling around the harbour and rock pools enjoying the peace and there is a sandy beach on your doorstep. During the summer months dolphins and whales are frquent visitors to the bay and the dolphin and whale rescue centre is located in the village.
You can fish from the harbour wall or try and land a salmon or trout on the River Deveron.
Bird watching is also popular in the area with nearby Troup Head host to cormorants, puffins and gannets. In the summer you can take a boat trip out to spot the dolphins and whales which is a truly memorable site.

For the golf enthusiasts there are numerous courses nearby. Duff House Royal and Royal Tarlair are the best courses in the area. Nearby Aberdeen also has a number of excellent courses.

If you are into scuba diving then there are plenty dive sites in the area with quite a few wrecks and caves to explore.
