The apartment is fully equipped and is spacious, light and bright it is surrounded by 6 "Juliet" balconies. It has central heating and a fully equipped kitchen and 1 modern bathroom. The apartment can sleep 6. Situated in the centre of Laredo and a 3-5 minute walk away with shops, banks, restaurants, bars and the long sandy bay. | Local Activities | Canoeing, Cycling, Hiking, Horse Riding, Mountain Biking, Mountaineering, Para Gliding, Pony Trekking, River Fishing, Sea Fishing, Walking, Wind Surfing, Outdoor activities are popular in this area of Spain. Walkers and cyclists love the mountainous scenery. The Picos de Europas mountain range is an hour and a half drive away. Santona is popular with the birding community as the wetlands provide excellent areas for the birds before they migrate south. Bilbao the cosmopolitan city is a 40 minutes drive away. The Guggenheim museum provides excellent cultural events. Can be reached by car, or bus Laredo. Santander, the ferry ports and the airport are reached within 30 minutes driving. The Safari park of Carbacenon is 25 minutes drive. The old town in Laredo is excellent for a night out, sampling Cantabrian cuisine. |

Laredo is close to Santander towards Bilbao. It can be reached easily from Santander airport and ferry port, or Bilbao airport and ferry port by car or bus. |

| Beaches |
Laredo is a 5 minute walk away. Santona's beaches are a 15 minute drive away. Noja is around 20 minutes drive along the coast. Laredo is in a bay with 8 klm of sand excellent area for wind/kitesurfing. Santona and Noja are popular with body boarders and surfers. The beaches along this area of the Cantabrian coast are all sandy and excellent days out for both the young and old. |

Alto Campoo is the nearest ski resort it is an hour and a half drive up through Santander and Reinossa. |
| Horse Riding |
Horse riding is available in Laredo. You can have lessons or hire a pony for a trek along the River Ason. |
