We welcome you to ride with us here in sunny Almeria - the only desert region in Europe.
Almeria also boasts the most year-round sunshine in Europe and with temperatures reaching 45 degrees it really is the best place to come and soak up the sun!
Our Villa and Equestrian Centre is located in peaceful Spanish countryside, surrounded by stunning uninterrupted views of the National Park. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time here - yet we're only 1km from Tabernas, a pretty Spanish village with it's friendly bars, shops and regular fiestas. This is the place to come if you want a taste of the real Spain!
The Villa is only 5 minutes from the famous Fort Bravo. The western-style town is the original filmset used in 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly' and 'A Fistful of Dollars'. This unique and unspoilt scenery of Tabernas has also been used in 'Indiana Jones' & the 'Last Crusade and 2001 - a Space Odyssey'.
With over 25 years experience in running riding schools and trekking centres, Carole and Roberto welcome riders of all levels and experience. We have well-mannered, quality horses to cater for everyone.
The scenery here is fantastic in every direction and there are countless routes to chose from, ranging from 1/2 hour hacks to 1/2 day treks. Take a ride before sunset and see the beautiful changing colours of the desert or ride in Clint Eastwood's hoofprints through the same canyons he did in all those famous films!

Beaches / Coast
Many of Spain's finest beaches and coastal resorts can be found well within a 1 hour drive, so much nearer. The popular resorts of Garrucha, Mojacar Playa, Carboneras, Cabo de Gata, Roquettes de Mar and Almerimar are just a few worth visiting if you take a day off riding and fancy a bit of touring around.
Special Interest
You're more than welcome to bring your own riding equipment along. As part of our Health and Safety policy all persons under the age of 18 must wear a riding hat - you can hire one of ours or bring your own. We must stress how hot it can be here and advise you bring lots of suntan lotion, sunglasses and headwear. A camera is a must as well, because the scenery is stunning! Water will be supplied on the treks. For your safety, our instructors are Health & Safety and First Aid trained. We regret we have no facilities at this time to cater for disabled riders. Please note you'll be required to sign a standard disclaimer before riding. Also note we have dogs and cats (dogs live outside!) so please bear this in mind if you have any allergies.

If you want a bit more excitement or sightseeing, there’s loads to see and do, especially if you have a hire car. You can take a trip into Tabernas or any of the other towns or villages nearby, which all have great bars, restaurants, markets, shops and sightseeing attractions. The upbeat tourist resort of Roquetas de Mar is 30 minutes away and the beautiful beach resort of Mojacar Playa with its many attractions and thriving nightlife is just 40 minutes. If you want great shopping then we're approximately 25 minute drives from Almeria City Centre. We are bordered on 1000's of acres of National Park here, so there are many natural attractions within reach, such as the Caves of Sorbas and the stunning Park of Cabo de Gata, both are just 20 -30 minutes drive.Don't forget we're very close to the ever-popular western theme parks, Fort Bravo & Oasys where you can see their famous gun-fights and stunt riding shows. They also have a water park and zoo, so there's something for all the family.
