The historic town of Javea is situated on the Mediterranean Sea on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. The surrounding landscape is varied, with beautiful beaches, small bays and a landscape of orange trees and pinewood forests. Javea is steeped in culture and history and it is one of the most picturesque and interesting towns in Alicante province. There is a natural harbour and fishing port, plus a beautiful promenade, a busy market and many terraces, restaurants and tapas bars where you can sit outside and soak up he local atmosphere. In Javea you can enjoy a pleasant climate all year round .There is a choice of golf courses within the Javea and Denia areas. The pretty town of Moraira with its bustling shops and sandy beach es is only a short drive away, as is Benitachell, Teulada and Benissa which are all within easy access of the motorway to Alicante or Valencia. | Location |
The city of Javea (or Xabia in Valenciano) Spain,is situated approximately 85 kms north from Alicante,and is midway between the port town of Denia and the southern beach resort of Altea. You can access Javea from the old main road - N332 which follows part of the coastline of the northern Costa Blanca. Alternatively, using the newer A-7 motorway, makes driving the distance easier although there is a toll fee to pay as you pass through the exit at Junctions 62 or 63 from the A-7 Motorway. |
| How to get there |
Regular daily flights to Valencia and Alicante are available with an approximate driving time of 1-1.5 hours to reach Javea from either airport. Renting a car for your holiday will allow you greater access to visit all the neighbouring towns and villages that make up this wonderful area of the sunny Costa Blanca. |
