New holiday villa with child-safe, heated private pool, internet access, amazing sea views & central air conditioning. Tennis, beach & golf nearby. Located in Salobrena on the beautiful & unspoilt Costa Tropical in Andalucia, Spain. Easy access from Granada, Malaga & Almeria airport. Las Cupulas is a contemporary, 4 bedroom vacation home that was completed & first let in June 2005. It is characterised by its 2 beautiful cupolas that are covered in sky blue mosaic tile. This self catering accommodation is unique in every sense of the word. It is a bit Moroccan in feel because of the cupolas yet the touches of mosaic tile remind others of the famous Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudi. The windows have a decorative free form moulding that incorporates the blue mosaic tile. This contrasts beautifully with the crisp white walls of the exterior of the villa and the cobalt blue skies of Andalucia. Overall the exterior of the villa gives the impression of sky and sea. There is a wave form on the border walls and at the roof level that represents the sea. It is hard to do this justice in words. The villa must be seen to be truly appreciated. This holiday rental villa has been featured in a US travel magazine and will soon be included in an upcoming edition of a leading architecture and design magazine. All this beauty on the outside can be appreciated even more inside because in the lounge there are 5+ meter high ceilings and the inside of the dome is exposed. High up on the walls of the lounge is a band of transparent glass blocks. This allows one to enjoy the beautiful blue skies from inside the lounge. If you aren´t totally impressed by the cupola, you will be by the unrivalled and uninterrupted views to the sea and the Moorish castle of Salobrena, which is illuminated at night. [Hide Description]

3 minute walk to community area with large pool, children's pool, playground, tennis court, table tennis, football pitch & basketball The historic city of Granada with the spectacular Alhambra Palace is only 45 minutes away. The small mountain villages of the Alpujarras are well worth exploring. Other places of interest include Almunecar with its markets and Roman ruins, La Herradura with its beautiful harbour and Nerja with its underground caves. Our guests love this area because it is still Spanish and very much unspoilt. It is how the Costa del Sol used to be before it was overdeveloped. Easy access from Granada, Malaga & Almeria airports. Almeria airport is 90 minutes from Salobrena. This airport is nice because it is very small and there are normally no delays with baggage. |
