I chose to live in Arcos as it feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the Mediterranean Costas. Arcos is a wonderful place to relax. Arcos is a real, thriving, Andalucian community with all the amenities that you would expect in a small town; food market, cinema, pharmacies, shops, restaurants and bars but retains an authentic atmosphere and is not overly commercialised. I chose this house because it is set in the heart of this beautiful Medieval town and enjoys amazing views and has a private terrace. It is located in a quiet pedestrianised street yet is only a few minutes walk away from the best bars and restuarants in the Old Town. I have aimed to make it as much a home-from-home experience as possible and have provided local guide books and maps to help my guests enjoy their stay to the full. I have provided a range of board games to while away the time on the roof terrace. My experience has been that people like to come to Arcos to relax and unwind whilst having the hustle and bustle of bigger cities available close at hand. So much to see Arcos is ideally situated to be your base for exploring all that Cadiz province has to offer. Within easy reach are the historic cities of Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz and Seville. The other Pueblos Blancos (White Villages) are within easy reach as are the spectacular National Parks at Sierra Grazalema, Coto Donaña and Sierra Alcornocales. Day-trips to Morocco are possible Beaches Our nearest beach is an easy 40 minutes drive away. On the Costa de la Luz there is a wide range of coastal towns and villages. Some have completely undeveloped beaches while others are more family oriented. Luckily, these beaches have not been overly developed and you will see very few buildings over five stories high along the coast. Cadiz province has been keen to limit development and avoid the mistakes that have been made by Malaga province. [Hide Description]

There is a choice of golf course close to Arcos namely Arcos Gardens and Montecastillo. Green fees are lower here than on the Costa del Sol. Both campionship courses are within 25 minutes of Arcos ... in fact, you can see the greens of Arcos Gardens from the roof terrace

Mark was an enthusiastic and helpful host and the views from the roof top garden were very impressive. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. The town of Arcos was very interesting and it is a convenient base to see other towns such as Cadiz, Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera and Rhonda. We enjoyed our stay. - Stephen from Sydney, Australia

A well appointed apartment. Comfortable accommodation with everything available to make our stay enjoyable. The terrace gives outstanding views and is a wonderful location to enjoy a glass of wine whilst beating my husband at scrabble!!! - Carol from Swansea
